Kpangni Emmanuel Bentuni, B.Sc., S.E., D.E.S.S (Informatics)

Mr. Bentuni, a statistician and information systems specialist, is the Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor for the SSDS AIDSTAR II Capacity Building Project in Côte d’Ivoire. He is assisting ten non-governmental HIV/AIDS organizations in Côte d’Ivoire to improve the quality of their data and reporting systems, strengthen their information systems, and develop their capacity to collect, verify, and use data required by the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).

Prior to joining SSDS, Mr. Bentuni was responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of PEPFAR-funded projects at CARE and the Population Council. Previously, he was an instructor and research assistant at the National Institute of Applied Statistics and Economics (ENSEA) in Abidjan. He also has experience as a software developer and as a trainer of trainers in survey and census data archiving.

Mr Bentuni has a Mathematics Degree from the Abidjan University of Cocody, with further training in statistics from ENSEA, in survey/census data archiving from the World Bank, and in information systems from the University of the Mediterranean in Marseille, France. His software skills include experience with SPSS, Epi-Info, CSPro dynamic mapping software, and the C programming language. He speaks English, French and Appolo (an indigenous language of Côte d’Ivoire).
